Joel Plaskett

Charming sold-out clubs and concert halls from one side of the country to the other, the Juno Award–winning Joel Plaskett is one of Canada’s most enduring and celebrated songwriters. His incredible career has spanned more than 20 years and includes 17 studio releases — from his first band, Thrush Hermit, to his solo work, his recordings with the Emergency, collaborations with his father Bill Plaskett, and other projects — but he shows no signs of slowing down. While he continues to tour and write new songs, Plaskett has also helped usher in a new cohort of Canadian talent, mentoring and producing new artists such as Mo Kenney and Colleen Brown.
